Greetings from the WWDC in San Francisco and sorry, if your email hasn't been answered yet. My time here is very precious and I need to learn about the new stuff in Lion and iOS 5. So, please forgive me if I need more time to answer your questions. I am in the middle of figuring out how this new iCloud stuff works. It's still a bit confusing, but it will be great.
As you might know, I was working on a Cloud Sync solution myself for the last three to four weeks. It was kinda sweet and worked pretty well so far. However scaling a cloud sync solution all by yourself is a nightmare and there is a lot of maintenance involved, which would take a lot of time away from developing new stuff. Everybody was stuggling with it until now. So, I decided to trash all my work and get on the iCloud bandwagon in all Vemedio apps. This means that there won't be a cloud sync solution for Instacast until iOS 5 coming out in fall this year which is a bummer, but the overall benefits outweigh the long wait.
You as a user will be able to sync your podcast with all your Apple devices, Mac, iPad and iPhone without requiring a new account. And you'll have all your stuff together in one sweet solution. Plus you won't need to pay for another subscription service. And for me everything will be easier. I can cut back on web service maintenance and expenses and won't need to deal with potential syncing bugs and problems. It's great.
Follow me on Twitter and let me know what you think about the new Apple stuff.
