Widespread outage on Heroku
Our podcast directory for Instacast seems to be offline. We are hosting our services on Heroku.com. After massive problems with EC2 at Amazon yesterday, Heroku seems to be affected as well. We have no further information but the messages on the Heroku Status Page. We hope that in a few hours everything will work normal again. We'll let you know.
We started hosting our online services on a cloud based system in the hope of preventing overload and server failures. We have now learned that sometimes even clouds can fall from the sky. We will investigate alternative hosting methods for the future. But for now, we just hope everything will be back up shortly. Fingers crossed!
Our online directory for Snowtape has not been compromised since it is stored on a plain old server.
Update: The Instacast podcast directory is back up. We are really sorry for the long outage and hope that everything is running steadily now.
