Introducing Snowtape 2

Many of you will have noticed that it has been quiet around Snowtape for Mac. This is not because we’ve bought an island and make party all the time (although some of you might think that). No, it’s because we are working hard on a completely overhauled, revamped, re-imagined and tuned version 2.0. Yes, you heard right, guys. Version 2. It’s a major step forward. We learned a lot since last christmas when the last major version of Snowtape for Mac came out. We built Snowtape for iPhone and the technology we needed to make it work on a mobile device has been challenging but now enables a much better product on the Mac.

Snowtape 2 is a big milestone. Here is a short list of features we are introducing:

  • Recording Schedules
  • Zero-Reencoding Process
  • Record from multiple stations simultaneously
  • Professional-grade Editor
  • Audio Fingerprint Identification
  • Lists and Smart Lists
  • Scrobble to Last.fm
  • Stream to Airport Express and Apple TV

And much much more. Check out the Sneak Preview Website. Snowtape 2 is currently in private beta testing and will be available later this month. It will be a paid upgrade which means if you own version 1.x of Snowtape for Mac you can get the new version for a discounted price. And if you bought Snowtape 1.0 after Aug 1, 2010 you get the update for free.
