What is the Instacast Membership?

By purchasing the Instacast Membership, you can support the ongoing development of the Instacast application platform, which includes all client applications as well as the online services like the directory and the syncing infrastructure.

Why selling a subscription?

Instacast is an iPhone and an iPad app and thus already made some money. However the economics of the App Store do not generate a lot of income with an application for a niche market such as podcasts. There is simply not enough income generated over the App Store to permit development of big features like server side search or advanced syncing. There are also opportunities we can't fulfill with insufficent funding, like making a damn good Android app.

What are the benefits?

You get access to first hand information via a Super Secret Newsletter, beta versions of upcoming software releases if technically possible and priority support via the membership email address.

Furthermore as we continue developing new features and services, you will always be among the first to use it.

But most importantly, you can be proud of supporting a project, which product you use on a daily basis.

How much does it cost?

We have two kinds of memberships. A basic membership costs $6 and is billed every 6 months.

As a Senator Member you pay $10 for 12 months, save $2 over a year and have extra benefits.

Can I cancel at anytime?

Yes, of course you can.

Can I switch plans?

Yes, you can switch plans at any time. The new amount will be charged at the next recurring billing period.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, this is also possible as long as the payment has been made within the last 60 days. Just drop us an email. A refund will cause an immediate loss of your benefits though.

What payments do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards as well as Paypal. The Instacast membership can not be purchased as In-App purchase at this time.

@frackerfracken leider irgendwie wohl, da auch noch andere Dienste den Kram abgreifen. Weiß gar nicht, ob Instacast das noch macht.

@cefranco2 yeah, I liked it when I used it, lack of iPad version was pretty much why I switched back to Instacast (and now the Mac version).
